What We Deal With

We provide quality dentistry, this means not only restoring teeth but also providing regular advice to help you understand how to care for your teeth.

Our expertise allows us to offer many dental treatments that you might not find elsewhere and we are proud to be continually developing our skills. We offer NHS and private treatments.

As a new patient at Diss Dental Health Centre, the first appointment we’d like to arrange for you is a New Patient Examination. This appointment will involve a thorough dental examination of the health of your gums, teeth and mouth and an X-ray (if necessary). We will also take the time to get to know you and to discuss any treatment preferences and concerns you may have. Following your check-up a personal treatment plan with estimated costs is given before any agreed treatment commences

You may be totally happy with your smile and teeth and just be looking for a dental team to help you look after and maintain them – and that’s okay, we can do that too!

Check up

We recommend these are done on a regular basis: somewhere between every 3 to 12 months depending on the dental health of the teeth. We check for signs of dental disease, oral cancer and it’s an opportunity for you to ask any questions you have about your mouth. Remember to book your next check-up before you leave the practice.

During Your Check Up We Will Look For:

  • Tooth decay
  • Unhealthy gums
  • Problems with jaw alignment
  • Problems with your crowns or fillings

Children’s Dentistry

New parents often have questions regarding the care and management of their children’s teeth. When should they start brushing? What kind of toothpaste is best? When should they go to the dentist? Knowing the answers to these questions can help you to keep your child’s teeth healthy and cavity-free.

We advise parents and guardians to bring their babies to the dentist in the first year. This allows those questions to be asked and allows babies and children to get used to the dental environment. Prevention is the cornerstone of dental care and it starts with young babies.

Nervous and anxious patients

If you feel apprehensive about visiting the dentist, please let us know. We offer numerous solutions to conquer fear and get you the smile you always wanted or just simply get you comfortable caring for your oral health. Our caring staff are used to helping nervous patients. One of the ways we do this is to provide a calm environment, to talk to you about your fears, and to explain thoroughly what the treatment involves, letting you know that we understand and empathise with your concerns. We work with you to help you feel in control of your dental treatment and your health.
